Xie Weilin
Doctoral supervisor, born in April 1986 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, joined the School of Optoelectronics at Beijing Institute of Technology in 2017, in the research team led by Professor Dong Yi. The field of study is Optical Engineering. Engaged in research on optical coherence measurement technology and microwave photonics, the main research directions include optical phase-locked technology, frequency-modulated continuous-wave laser detection, distributed optical fiber sensing, optoelectronic measurement technology, etc. Has led and participated in multiple projects at the provincial and ministerial levels, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project, pre-research projects in the context of military support, pre-research projects of the General Armament Department, international exchange and cooperation projects, etc. Published over 40 SCI papers in internationally renowned academic journals such as Optics Letters, Optics Express, Journal of Lightwave Technology, with two papers invited, and cited nearly 380 times. Has delivered invited presentations at several high-level international conferences, applied for and obtained nearly 10 patents for inventions. Has a solid foundation in international exchanges and cooperation. Teaches the undergraduate course "Guided Wave Optics," undertakes one undergraduate teaching and research reform project. Supervises, assists in supervising 8 doctoral students, 3 of whom have graduated; guides, assists in guiding 10 master's students, 2 of whom have graduated; currently supervises 5 doctoral students and 8 master's students. Students under supervision have received awards and honors such as the Beijing Institute of Technology Outstanding Thesis and Cultivation Fund. Member of the Optical Society of America (OSA) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Serves as a reviewer for over ten internationally renowned SCI journals, including Photonics Research, Optics Letters, Optics Express, Applied Optics, Journal of Lightwave Technology, Journal of the Optical Society of America A.

Wei wei
Wei Wei, is an associate researcher and a Ph.D supervisor at the School of Optics and Photonics, Beijing Institute of Technology since 2018. He received his B.S. degree in electronic science and technology in 2012, and M.S. degree in information and communication engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China. He received a joint Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from SJTU and in communications and electronics from Telecom ParisTech, Paris, France in 2018. His research focuses on microwave photonics, especially on stable optically-carried microwave transfer and distributed detection systems. He has published over seventy papers in SCI journals such as Optics Letters and Optics Express, as well as in international high-level academic conferences. He teaches graduate courses on "Guided Wave Optics" and undergraduate courses on "Fundamentals of Fiber Optic Technology." He has supervised more than twenty doctoral and master's students.

Tan Zhongwei
Born in January 1992, a Ph.D., and a faculty member at the School of Optoelectronics, Beijing Institute of Technology. Joined the university in January 2021 as an Assistant Professor/Special Associate Researcher on a preliminary appointment, becoming a part of Professor Dong Yi's research team. The main research focus is on optical fiber communication and optical interconnection. Actively involved in two national key research and development programs, and has participated in various projects including the National Natural Science Foundation, collaborative research projects with Huawei, and industry-university-research projects with ZTE. Published approximately 30 papers in journals such as the Journal of Lightwave Technology and IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, as well as international conferences. Independently authored one academic monograph, applied for one invention patent, and delivered one invited presentation at an international conference. Awarded the Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Prize from Peking University in 2018. A member of IEEE and OSA, and serves as a reviewer for journals including Optics Express, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, and Optics Communications.

Bo Tianwai
Tianwai Bo is currently a professor with the School of Optics and Photonics, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). Before joining BIT, he worked as research assistant professor and postdoctoral research fellow with School of Electrical Engineering, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) under BK21 Plus Fellowship. From 2012 to 2016, he was with the Lightwave Communication Laboratory, The Chinese University of Hong Kong where he received the Ph.D. degree in optical communication. His research interests include short-/medium-reach communication, optical performance monitoring, and digital signal processing for optical communication.
