About us
The Photonic Information Technology (PIT) laboratory was established in 2017 at the acedemy of Optics & Photonics, Beijing Institute of Technology. It has been working on microwave photonics, optical fiber sensing and measurement, and optical communication.
In 2018, it was approved as part of the Key Laboratory of Photonic Information Technology (KLPIT) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China. This ministry supported KLPIT carries out cutting-edge exploration and application research in the field of photonic information techniques to drive the development of China's photonic information industries and meet the development needs of information science and technology in China.
Our laboratory is also supported by the two major disciplines, Optical Engineering and Instrument Science and Technology, from the School of Optics & Photonics, Beijing Institute of Technology.
Join us
At present, the laboratory plans to recruit 4-5 doctoral students and 7-9 master students every year.
The laboratory has 1-2 postdoc position openning in the long term.
